Brief Profile

Waterwise Okahu Bay has been operating for the last 35 years out of the Landing at Okahu Bay, Tamaki Drive. It currently consists of 3 schools from the Eastern Bays and central Auckland area.

Waterwise Okahu Bay has a long standing relationship with the Auckland Sailing Club and uses one of its garage sheds to store its equipment. WOB currently has 2 aluminium rescue boats, 8 optis, 12 single kayaks, 2 double kayaks and 2 paddle boards. Schools run their own sailing, kayaking and water activity programmes generally in Terms 1 and 4.

Approximately 300 students go through the Waterwise sailing programme each year.
